The making of a luxury brand: MARQUES' John A.C. Marques shares his journey with ISCTE Masters' stud



Last week, MARQUES' founder and creative director, John A.C. Marques, shared his insights and experience with masters' students at ISCTE, one of the top business schools in the world. Invited by Dr. Helena Rodrigues, a marketing professor and researcher at the school, Marques had the opportunity to speak with the Erasmus Mundi masters' class about his academic and professional journey in the luxury industry. Marques shared his experiences from his time in Monaco to the establishment of his namesake label between Lisbon and Dubai. He talked about the challenges and opportunities of building a luxury brand in two different cities and the importance of storytelling in the luxury industry.


"It was a great experience to share my story with the students, even more rewarding to notice their interest and answer their questions about the luxury sector," said Marques. The students were eager to learn more about the industry and asked insightful questions about the challenges and opportunities of building a luxury brand in a digital age. Marques' experience and insights provided a valuable learning opportunity for the students, giving them a glimpse into the inner workings of the luxury industry and the challenges and rewards of building a successful brand. His visit to ISCTE was a reminder of the importance of staying true to one's values and the power of storytelling in the luxury industry.
